The Austrian Wine Tour, these days keep getting better

Well i´m writing this from McDonalds in Wien (Vienna) about 10 mins from the heart of the city centre.

Yesterday was another glorious day full of sunshine, wine, and fun. It was simply Magnificent. This is because i went on a wine tour throughout the wine Region in Austria and had a fantastic time. I must add that not only was it a wine tour, but you were expected to ride all the way. I thought it was a bit expensive at €50, however once there being amoungst the vines, along the Danube one of europes biggest rivers, trying some wine it all came into focus.

Throughout the day we tried 20 or so different wines, but it was so spaced out that no one got drunk, however imagine this scenery, with the castle ruins of where Richard the Lionhead was once held for 2 years, the beautiful winding Danube in which Mozart wrote about, the bell tower and little town, and little wine makers and Jam makers in each little shop.

We scaled the mountain to go up to the Ruins where Richard the Lion head is reported to have been held for 2 years, and i found out really how high 25-30 stories of stairs really is. My legs are absolutely Aching today, hence spending so much time doing this.

I’m staying in the Wombats hostel in Vienna and it is a great hostel, nice, new, clean etc. Close to the summer palace which i visited this morning, which is beautiful again.

As there is so much to do in Vienna i’m staying an extra 2 nights so hopefully i can see the Vienna Boys Choir, and a mozart symphony.
