If you have to jump from a great height, make sure you hang on to your life jacket!

Well, That was a ferry ride from hell! 32 hours on a deck of a ferry, Howling winds of 100 knotts+. Little to no protection or sleep. I found a group of fellow travelers before i got on that were going the same direction as me. So the Group of 8 of us, had a great time until about sunset. The Winds picked up to the stage where we even tried to build a little fort with all our bags. Thankfully i had my sleeping bag, which all i did was protect my whole body, lie on the concrete/metal floor and try and sleep.

So after little sleep, the next part of the journey was just as fantastic. A 3 hour ride to Athens in a bus, to a stop in the middle of nowhere! Where i was told to catch a train to the middle of town for my hotel. Fantastic! However the trains were not running, so i had to catch a taxi which meant getting ripped off in the process, but ah well. Thats all part of traveling i guess.

Thankfully i’m now in this little hotel in the middle of town, but after all this, i really can’t be bothered doing much more than watching English tv!!!! Oh my god its so fantastic to here English again, and do not a lot.

Tomorrow i’m off to Ios, known as one of the great party islands of the Greek Islands to Forget all my troubles i have had the last few days, and just chill. I can’t put any photos of venice up yet, as this internet connection is the slowest in the world.
