When In Rome…
As the Saying Goes, When In Rome, well you really do have a great time. I would almost say there is too much to do here. I know my feet definitely agree with me, to the point where i have had to have a rest day due to the Blisters on my feet. The last few days i have been seeing the sights in Rome finally at my own pace.
My Favourite places so far must be the Piazza Nuova, Fontana Di Trevi (Trevi Fountain) St Pedros Basillica (St Peters Basillica) and the 100 flavour Gelati Shop near Trevi Fountain. I mean that stuff is seriously addictive. Today i’m not having any as i’m not going into Rome and i am having withdrawls.
The Piazza Nuova is great just because people who usually visit it don’t know its past… That it used to be an olympic track for sprinters many thousands of years ago, and still is in the same shape, or the wonderful fountain there.
Trevi Fountain is Gorgeous, i really can’t get enough of it. Not just because of the convineintly located gelati shops near by that are cheap. There is entertainment there and not of the usual variety.
We witnessed well a very emotional 16 year old boy, who had his camera and bag stolen in the Gelati shop. So he was screaming, ranting and raving. Demanding that the guys in the Shop Close the shop to catch the guy, then all the time hitting the counter, going around the counter being extremely aggresive he is shouting for the Police. When the police get there he is So emotional and is shouting at them from about 30 centimetres away from them, and started to push them. Now anywhere else in the world you would be under the foot of the cop by now, but no he was still ranting and raving in Italian, and i couldn’t even understand a word he was saying. After all this he pushed the cops (now 3 of them) a couple more times, which ended up with him finally in Handcuffs, then his father chimes in, and starts pushing the cops, which are now pushing him back. The Son is back into it… and gets himself in a headlock by one of the coppers. Finally it was all starting to simmer down but the mother now was not happy that her son was being taken away and started swearing. Swearing like any labourer would be proud of. She then in Italian then in English started saying… What? Whats the Problem? Is this the problem? Waving 3 €50 notes in the air so everyone knew. I sort of decided to leave at that point! It was like a train crash, you wanted to watch but you didn’t.
Anyways, I’m Off to Southern Italy tomorrow So you may not hear from me for a couple of days. Here is a quick map thanks to busabout of where i’m off to.

Finally i would like to Say Hi and a big fat Gday to all those that saw my site on the MSN site the other day and are checking out my travels. EDT thanks for the tip on my camera, if only i can work out how to change my ISO levels… Its not the Exposure settings is it?
