New York

So its day two in NYC, or New York City as us common folk know it. Had a truely wonderful day yesterday walking around the city getting to know my barings and loving the New York vibe, its got a vibe. I didn’t know that before but it certainly does. Anyone that spends more then 5 mins sitting in Time Square, or sit down at battery point looking at the big sheila with the light thingy will tell you (Statue of liberty). I have found that americans so far are very loud, i thought Aussie’s were loud but they have nothing on the americans not that its a bad thing, but do something that they don’t like and it all kicks off. They also like talking to themselves, It may have something to do with my hostel which is in the middle of Harlem, which is notoriously a dodgy area, but to be honest, everyone has been great and helpful so far.

Here are a few shots that I’ve taken so far on my stumbles around New York. I had my first dinning out experience last night where I went to a some sort of Texan/Dallas themed resturant last night. I ordered the rib and chicken combo, so that ofcourse means they must lay on a rack of ribs and half a chicken, and when i asked for a lemonade they provided me with a glass that had more resemblance to a fish bow rather then a cup. I was waiting to see if they were going to throw in a gold fish for theatarics, but unfortunately no.

I still don’t feel as though i’m on holidays just yet, i’m not completely and utterly relaxed and i guess it will take a bit to get into the fold again, it more feels like i’ve gone away for the weekend. Which it more then definitely is not! I’m off on megabus this evening to go and meet some people in Hartford, CT for some reason i’ve noticed you can’t comment on these posts at the moment. I will investigate and fix it hopefully
