NYC, Statue of Liberty
Hello all, it is me again from New York City again. I’ve got to be honest, this is fast becomming one of my favourite Cities in the world, and its already pretty close to being Number one. The city that doesn’t sleep well thats true, but I certainly do need to! I arrived the other day from Washington and had a bit of a kick around in Harlem, which is not as bad as it is on the movies etc. There weren’t too many dodgy people around, and you could steer clear of them quite easily. The one thing that I learnt which is a major thing really is that if it looks and smells like a dodgy chicken place, well it is! Popeyes, meant to be tasty chicken? well they sure as heck left the taste part out of their reciepe. Tasted like fat coated in oil.

Anyways of to bigger and better things, So i went off to the Big Sheila holding the stick, also known as the statue of Liberty. Yes I took a few photos of her, now the big tip for the statue of liberty, is if you get there @ 07:45am everymorning they give away tickets onto the actual monument. If you were like me and couldn’t be arsed getting up that early, then you can just deal with the Passage pass, which gets you underneath which is good enough for me.

After that I went into time square and decided to sit and people watch for about an hour, whilst the sun was setting. Now this is probably the first real time i’ve had to stop and people watch all trip. Definitely saw some interesting sights, I’m currently running on seeing at least one Lamboughini a day throughout NY as well.

Today, I spent the day with my “extended cousins” who are from Connecticut that I met at my Aunties place earlier this month. We ended up basically walking right around town to the point were its 8pm here in NYC and i’ve had it for the day more then happy to call it a night, the poor girls still had 3 hours or so on the train to go when i left them. The biggest tip i took away from them was a mexican place called Mexican Chipolte, its got awesome cheap mexican food always good to find in NYC.
