Bali, Sanur

Hello all, I’m in Bali at the moment, at a town called Sanur, the most popular place in Bali known by most tourists, especially the Australian tourists is Kuta, Bali, and that is on the other side of the Island where I am now. Sanur is a lovely quiet town still with a bit to do, and a 5km long beach protected by a reef, so you can go snorkelling all day long over the reef with children not worrying about the current or tide.

The last two days have probably been my most relaxing of my entire trip. My hotel room, is a traditional design ballinese design with almost a jungle to walk through everytime i leave my room. There are birds that chirp in the morning to wake me up, just before the free breakfast ends. I’m happy that this is my hotel. Its not too expensive, has wi-fi in the room, and the breaksfast isn’t so bad either.

The Secret Garden?

The Secret Garden?

I’m sure there are loads of touristy things to do here in Bali, however I just don’t have the money to waste! Unfortunately it seems even going over to the Gilli Islands are out of my budget @ over $100 return! I would like to go to the Volcano, and to Ubud, although i’m not so sure that I should be going to a Volcano due to the recent activity re: earthquakes etc. My plan so far is tomorrow go to Kuta for the day (Although with a religous festival going on I’m not so sure that is going to happen) then to Legian on Sunday to catch up to Real cousins from Australia, then Monday to Ubud, Tuesday possibly Kuta/volcano or just relax cause the following couple of days I’m flying to KL for 3 days then to Perth!

Yes thats right finally hitting Australia, although the epic adventure will not be over! I only have another 5000km’s to cover.

We went on a honeymoon trip to Bali, we stay in nusa dua. When we booked tour, I was taken aback by the very low price of the hotel, and I was afraid that he would disappoint me, but no, the hotel was amazing … very cozy, clean, spacious rooms .. beautiful garden with pond, and in it are teeming with “mad” fish, near which were stopped by the tourists to feed them with bread, a green area, and I would not call it a small, all matches hotel.. The people at the pool is not so much, and I will refute the rumors that have to get up at 7 am, to take a lounger on the beach, free lager can be found at any time. Guide services world without limite, we have not used, because had time to get acquainted with a woman who gave us the contacts of the local English speaking driver, he told me many interesting things, very cheerful, a wonderful man and a tour takes twice as cheaper.he give us various gifts and tell details, where to go, where good and reasonable prices. His name putra, since its well known, in case the need to leave his phone number: 081805338662 you will not regret it. In general, Bali is very beautiful and exotic place, there are very friendly people! entertainment very much, enough for all, both for youth and adults. We are pleased to be back there and I advise everyone to go there to fly … it’s unforgettable!
